Personal Statement

My daughter is in Year 5 at St. Bridget’s and it is fair to say that we both love our school. I am really keen to be able to use my knowledge and skills to work with the governing body in the strategic development of St Bridget’s.

I am an experienced secondary maths teacher and school leader. I am passionate about education, the well-being of our young people and ensuring that they are able to go on to have choice filled lives.

During my career, I have been Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and am currently Maths Mastery Lead at West Kirby Grammar School. My skills and experience range from being responsible for whole school achievement, developing the curriculum, maths mastery and most recently the well-being, safeguarding and pastoral support for pupils. I work closely with our young people and their families in order to ensure they receive the best possible support.

As well as a wide range of professional experience, I am keen to use my perspective as a parent to help the governing body understand a parent’s viewpoint. I am skilled in using a wide range of sources and data as well the views of pupils, parents, staff and the community in order to ensure the well-being and excellent progress of pupils. St Bridget’s is an outstanding and happy school and I am keen to work with the governing body and leadership team in ensuring that this continues
