Science

At St. Bridget’s, our vision for teaching science is to ignite curiosity, creativity, and a deep understanding of the world around us.

Throughout their journey with us, children will develop the ability to think independently and ask thoughtful questions about scientific concepts and the processes of working scientifically. We aim to build confidence and competence in practical skills, encouraging pupils to take initiative in planning and conducting investigations.

Our learners will demonstrate excellent scientific knowledge and understanding through clear explanations, problem-solving, and accurate reporting of their findings. They will apply their skills with imagination and originality, exploring science in a range of contexts, including hands-on fieldwork. Above all, we strive to instil a lifelong passion for science and an appreciation of its role in shaping past discoveries, present understanding, and future innovations.
