Personal Statement
I have two children at St Bridget’s, Seb and Connie. They both adore the school and its staff, and I’m really excited about playing my part to help keep it an amazing place for children to learn and thrive.
I’m a mechanical engineer by trade, with lots of experience in challenging projects under tight time and cost controls and in my first career I was an engineering officer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service. As a civilian I’ve been in senior leadership roles in nuclear organisations and at the moment I’m the safety engineering lead for a programme of government nuclear build projects.
I have a range of technical skills I’m hoping will be useful to the role of parent governor, but most importantly I really care about the school and the fantastic learning environment it already provides. I’m looking forward to learning more about how the school serves its community, and will do all I can to understand and represent the interests of parents and pupils in the way St Bridget’s operates.
