Home Learning

During the school closure children are expected to continue their learning at home. To support this, staff have created suggested timetables for each year group outlining activities and resources that can be completed in a home learning environment. These can be found to the left of this message in the relevant sub-category.

We recognise and appreciate that each of our children’s circumstances during these uncertain times are unique. This is why our timetables are in a ‘suggested’ format and we fully support parental discretion when it comes to completion of the activities and the order in which they are undertaken.  Whilst some parents will appreciate a structured timetable approach, others may want to personalise their children's learning further with a more flexible approach. We fully support either.

The health and well-being of our school community is of paramount importance and so we advise that any work undertaken is only to be done so if your child is well.

Each weekly suggested timetable details the activities and directs you to any related resources. Staff have tried to balance curriculum essentials with some other activities suited to home learning. We have utilised established online learning platforms to consolidate learning as well as provided workbook resources to help practise concepts.

In light of the unprecedented nature of this scenario, staff have planned for several weeks of work. Please note each week designated as a school holiday will not be planned for. Should school closures last beyond the several weeks already available, further suggested timetables will be published on this website for you.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and understanding throughout this school closure. Any further news relating to home learning will be clearly communicated through our school website.
